[June 2024] iWorks is proud to announce the award of its $2500 scholarship for the year 2024 to a first-generation college student with Autism interested in Aerospace Engineering. This student is focused on mission-oriented vehicles for atmospheric and space flight, aiming to create advanced fighter aircraft and enhance military aviation safety and effectiveness. Inspired by the student's father's work on aircraft, the student is passionate about serving the country. Currently attending an Aeronautical University, the student has secured a summer internship with a major defense and aerospace firm. The student is dedicated to improving server operations and advocating for the neurodiverse population through community volunteering. We also thank AFCEA Education Foundation for their dedicated support in helping us collect applications and manage the award process.

Long-Term Commitment: We have established meaningful partnerships with respected non-profit organizations, resulting in the creation of endowments that expand our unwavering commitment to initiatives such as education, healthcare, and support for military and law enforcement families.

These long-term commitments are highlighted below.

We sponsor scholarships through the AFCEA Educational Foundation for eligible children and spouses of military service members or veterans pursuing higher education at accredited institutions, including community colleges, four-year colleges, universities, or pursuing a master’s degree.

We partner with The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) Washington, D.C. Chapter to endorse merit-based scholarships for exceptional ROTC Cadets and Midshipmen in the D.C. area, with annual contributions through our foundation from 2023 to 2028.

Since 2021, we’ve initiated an annual contribution to Cheyney University of Pennsylvania, a Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) institution, strengthening their financial resources and supporting academically talented STEM students in need of financial aid.

Since 2019, we’ve provided scholarships to eligible students, including transitioning service members, spouses, children of deceased or disabled service members, as well as law enforcement and firefighting personnel, via an endowment created in partnership with the Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) Educational Foundation.
